Hello everyone! We at New Paltz Dog Training are eternally grateful for your support and trust throughout the past two years of difficult events associated with the global pandemic. Here are some updates about our plans for the center.
People are starting to return to normal and planning vacations for this summer. If you will be traveling or requiring boarding, please do your best to let us know as soon as possible so we can put you on our calendar. We only board dogs we have trained. We will be, for the first time ever since we opened(!), fully closed for a joint staff adventure to our professional educational conference in Florida from September 8th to the 16th, 2022. I wanted everyone to know this in advance of finding themselves disappointed we were unavailable, after making plans.
Additionally, we will be making an announcement on all media platforms that we will not be taking any new clients for Stay & Train, private lessons, Dayschool or Kinderpuppy dogs requiring behavioral rehabs, until late June. We will still be admitting a limited number of puppies under 1 year old into our Kinderpuppy program.
For new clients, we will begin accepting applications to our programs thru our website (this function is not yet available) starting June 1.
This will not, in any way, affect our current clients until after the renovations are complete and you will have access to more services if you would like them.
We will be revising programs, adding group classes, improving scheduling, updating the functionality of the website, and making all the changes necessary to opening and utilizing the facility training rooms and its yards for all our clients in new ways. We will also be completing renovations to our facility that were planned two years ago and delayed by the pandemic activities. We will have a proper dog wash and grooming room (no more muddy dogs in cars), on site laundry, and maybe even a proper sign out in front of the facility!!!!
With these changes, we will be able to expand our programs, significantly improve our ability to respond and accept new applications and plan the community events we had always planned to provide, as per our mission.
I am ever so grateful for all of you who were superhero clients who have been willing to to train in that parking lot thru the past two winters and summers in incredibly challenging weather. Your dedication to your dogs makes my heart sing.
